CMS Announces OASIS E

CMS just released the draft version of OASIS E. According to CMS, the No pay RAP, OASIS E, and Proposed 5-day Rap Penalty (described in the federal register) will be implemented on January 1, 2021.

The New OASIS have a greatly expanded cognitive assessment  that may help agencies show more clarity on initial assessment of the patient's skilled need and homebound status.
