I NEED SOMEONE TO FOLLOW ME AROUND

I need someone to follow me around...

At a recent home health conference an attendee was overheard to say. “I just wish I had someone who could follow me around all day and write everything down.”

That’s not surprising as home health charting is still a massive undertaking. The OASIS is one of the longest nursing assessments in the health care continuum. It is also one of a few nursing assessments that act to determine reimbursement for the care of the patient. It’s long, complicated, and frankly everything from company finances to audit risk is sitting on the documenting clinician’s shoulders.

Because of the importance of correct OASIS documentation, HHAs spend a lot of money on their quality assurance programs. This often becomes a negative feedback loop of correct and return --and the process can take from days up to weeks of work for both the clinicians and the quality assurance team.

There has got to be a better way.

What if you COULD have someone follow you around and write everything down all day? This would allow home health clinicians to finish the OASIS during the home visit. And what if you didn’t just have someone to write everything down, but they also ran analytics designed to spot audit triggers- like data that fails to prove medical necessity? Then this same person worked with you to correct issues identified in your documentation on the spot? Immediately it would:

  • Decrease clinician burnout
  • Improve clinician efficiency
  • Improve patient experience
  • Optimize clinical documentation

At OperaCare we think its high time this become a reality. Our OASIS analytics coupled with our team of live scribing RNs will make your clinical and management dreams come true.

  • Complete and lock OASIS - day one
  • Have accurate HHRG information - day one
  • Balance reimbursement and patient utilization - day one

It’s time to prepare your agency for the future. Its time to think outside the box and do things better.
